The Needs Game is a pedagogical tool that can be used to identify the players’ core needs, help them to accept them, improve relationships and inspire decisions. Based on Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication (NVC) approach, it is an emotional literacy tool that can be used to:
- identify and accept needs;
- develop a lexical register of core human needs;
- engage in the process of Nonviolent Communication;
- help develop psychosocial skills;
- build emotional intelligence for relationships.

- 5 orange cards, each denoting a different Family of Needs;
- 59 Needs cards, coloured and numbered, with one main need displayed on the front and two related needs on the back, for a total of 177 needs;
- a 36 pages User guide containing essential information, 9 separate ways to play and a complete list of the 177 needs featured in the game;
- a durable and elegant cardboard box.
